Scott Lang is a former convicted thief who was struggling to pay child support to his estranged wife for visitation rights to his daughter, Cassie Lang. With the promise of money, he was convinced by Hank Pym to take on the mantle of Ant Man: a superhero with an advanced suit designed to shrink its wearer to a tiny size while increasing one’s toughness, agility, and physical strength.
Scott Lang is an affable rogue with tongue-in-cheek humour. Despite his criminal activity, Lang is a man of honour, good morals, and justice, though to the point of being stubborn, with it being his sense of honour that had led him to his break-in at Vistacorp, where Lang avenged all the people the corrupt corporation wronged. Lang’s desire to right wrongs was often the motivation for his illegal activities, yet his love for his daughter, Cassie, also made him determined to go straight upon his release from San Quentin State Prison.
Ingredients
2 green apples (cored and diced)
250g Brown Sugar
50g Raisins
1 Onion (diced)
2 tbsp Butter
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Ground Coriander
250ml Cider Vinegar
150g Piquanté Peppers (diced)
For the Cheeseboard:
0.5 Baguette (sliced, optional)
8 Beef Meatballs (optional)
Ham Slices (optional)
Selection of Cheeses
Salad Leaves (optional)
Cherry Tomatoes (optional)
Walnut Pieces (roughly chopped, optional)
I wanted to associate a cheeseboard with Ant Man as it brings lots of smaller items together to create a bigger meal. I used meatballs and baguette slices to create mini burgers on the side of the cheeseboard.




Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
In a large saucepan, melt the butter and add the onions until translucent. Then add the mustard seeds and sauté for 50 minutes.Step 2
Add the apples, Piquanté Peppers and sugar, and mix well. Stir until combined and the apples and peppers are softer.Step 3
Ad the raisins, coriander and cider vinegar and cook until boil. Stir to combine and take off the heat. Store in jars and refrigerate before serving cold.Step 4
Serve the chutney cold with your cheeseboard ingredients or a selection of your own favourites.
