Gourmet Cooking Skill 1: Pasta Primavera

I love the Sims. I’ve been playing it on PC since Sims 1, and have even played it on other console version including the GameBoy Advance, Nintendo DS, PS2, and even on mobile and tablet. I’ve created many families, pets and mystical beings. I’ve had them enter many jobs, have many children, and adopt many pets. I’ve bought expansions so they can experience seasons, go to university, go clubbing, try acting, create vampires, start businesses and live in the big city. And I’ve killed many of them off in new and interesting ways, like every Sims player does!

As a long serving fan of The Sims, I’ve recreated a dish that a lot of Sims in Sims 4 would have cooked by now. As part of the Cooking Skill range, the earliest dishes you can make for dinner are Garden Salad, Grilled Cheese, Mac and Cheese, and Fish Tacos. I felt like those were some simple dishes to make so tried the Gourmet Skill Range: Garlic Noodles, Caprese Salad and Pasta Primavera. So here it is, a Pasta Primavera.

Ingredients

200g Dried Pasta
Olive oil
10 Cherry Tomatoes (halved)
1 Yellow Bell Pepper (halved and deseeded)
50g Broccoli (florets)
100g Asparagus
Dried Basil
Dried Oregano
Parmesan (grated, to garnish)

According to The Sims 4, all you need to cook this is “any vegetable and any herb”. Of course that’s not entirely true, you also need the pasta! I’ve used Conchiglie, but you can use any type of Pasta for this dish. You can also use any type of vegetables, though I’d favour for mediterranean vegetables. The herbs create the flavour so keep them!

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 180ºC. Place the vegetables on a baking sheet.
Step 2
Brush the vegetables with olive oil and sprinkle over Basil, Oregano, salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
Step 3
Cook the pasta in a saucepan of boiling salted water until cooked.
Step 4
Mix with the roasted vegetables and serve with some Parmesan.
