Sage and Broccoli Pasta
Given the appearance and name of Pansage, I created a Sage and Broccoli pasta dish that is an alternative, healthy vegetarian dish
- 150 g Spaghetti
- 100 g Tenderstem Broccoli
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 clove Garlic minced
- 0.25 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 10 leaves Sage chopped
- Parmesan shavings optional, to serve
Boil the spaghetti in a pan of boiling water for 15 minutes until soft and cooked. Halfway through add a colander over the pasta and steam cook the broccoli.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the onion and garlic. Cook for 5minutes until translucent. Add the red pepper flakes and sage. Once cooked served the spaghetti in a bowl with the broccoli and sage mixture over the top. Optionally add Parmesan shavings on top.
