Prison Macaroni Meal

As Orange is the New Black comes to an end on Netflix, I've created a dish you'd likely find on their prison menus

  • Ovenproof Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Macaroni
  • 250 g Mature Cheddar
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 220°Cook the macaroni according to the packet instructions in a saucepan, drain and then put back into the hot pan.
  • While the pasta is cooking, put the cheese, milk, eggs and nutmeg in a food processor and blitz to form a sauce.
  • Pour the cheese sauce over the macaroni, stir well, and season with salt and pepper to taste. (Optionally add some cooked, diced bacon too at this point)
  • Tip into a ovenproof dish (wide and shallow is besand bake in the very hot oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until it is bubbling on top.
