Syrup Splashed Sausage Skillet

As Buddy the Elf enjoys, I've coated this dish in maple syrup to keep it sweet to taste!

  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 160 g Smoked Pork Sausage
  • 400 g Mushrooms
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 portions of Rice


  • Slice your sausage, mushrooms, bell pepper and onion. Boil your rice in salted water until cooked.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage, cook and stir for 5 mins until lightly browned.
  • Add the vegetables, cook and stir for an extra 5 minutes until the vegetables are crisp and tender.
  • Stir in the syrup and add pepper to taste. Heat through then serve with the rice.
